Hello, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a stay-at-home mom who loves beauty, and creativity in its many forms. The ultimate driving force behind my life, this site, and the patterns on it is hope and belief in a loving, creator-God, who cares deeply about each and every one of us. He is the one who meticulously designed and crafted our planet and everything on it, and then pronounced it good.
Although our world in its current state is far from the paradise it originally was, there are still many beautiful things to be treasured: time spent with loved ones, the smell of flowers, and the clean air after a rainstorm. These are the kinds of moments that inspire me to create, and fill me with hope.

With the myriad crochet patterns that primarily use large swaths of double crochet or single crochet available, I want to offer designs that are unique and a bit different–not that you won’t find a few patterns here that use primarily one or two stitches, but for the most part I have tried to heap loads of texture, and creative ways of using the basic stitches to create beautiful designs you’ll come back to over and over again.
It’s a long-standing joke between my husband and I that we were both born 100 years too late. We love the beauty and uniqueness of hand-crafted items, as well as using our hands to do the crafting, both large and small items. With that in mind, much of what you’ll find on the site has a vintage feel to it. A time of beauty, evening walks in the garden–“Victorian-era charm” if you will, with a hint of country romance, lace, ribbons and all things feminine. The dreamer in me longs for a place to relax, and find refreshment for my soul. There is something about beauty that heals. Through beauty we are drawn to our marvelous Creator, God, who has blessed us with this ability to also be creative. What a profound gift!
My mother is the one who taught me to crochet when I was 9 years old. She never learned to read a crochet pattern but could always crochet whatever she wanted to. My mom is also the one who lead me to develop a relationship with God. A relationship where I hunger and thirst after His righteousness, and where prayer is the very breath of my soul; I am human, I make mistakes and give in to fear and doubt far more often that I wish–yes, I desperately need a Savior.
It is my sincerest hope that whether you crochet these items for yourself, a family member or friend, or if you decide to sell them at farmer’s markets/craft shows, each completed piece brings a smile to your face, and lifts your spirit.
These designs come from my heart to yours.
Wishing you all the best in your crochet journey, with love, and grace,
Kirsten
