Wow! It’s hard to believe we are already at the end of this CAL! I hope you have enjoyed it so far, and remember that even though this is the last section, this CAL does not officially end until November 30th! So please come on over and join my Facebook group to get inspiration, or have your questions answered by myself, or the other wonderful ladies there.
Today we’ll be working on flowers! As I’ve mentioned before, you are not required to use these flower designs in order for your scarf to turn out, but if you don’t have any other favorite flowers, feel free to give these a go. I chose colors that would compliment my scarf, but you can make these in any color you’d like.
Here is my list for my current scarf (these are what you’ll see in the tutorial pictures):
Red Heart Soft in Berry
Caron Simply Soft in Lavender Blue
Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate
Lion Brand Yarn Heartland in “Yellowstone”
For the center of the first flower, I used a single ply of yarn from a brown worsted weight acrylic. You can also use #10 crochet thread.
(Want the colors for the original scarf? They are listed in the pattern, here.)
Materials Needed:
3.25mm hook
Small amount of worsted weight yarn in up to 4 colors of your choice

sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet

Sew flowers to scarf with a color of thread or yarn that will compliment the colors you already have.
If you wish, you may also take time to thread ribbon, strips of fabric, or other novelty yarns through the ends to make them more luxurious.
And that’s it! You should have a beautiful scarf that is as unique as you are! Wear it with pride, or gift it to a friend or family member.
And, if you haven’t already, please feel free to join my Facebook group and share pictures of your work! 😀
